MICRODERMABRASION

Q&A

What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a quick, non-invasive, painless treatment used to clean, refine and smooth the skin surface while stimulating healthy reactions in the deeper layers of the skin using micro massage. There is no downtime, the treatment can be done during a lunch break.

Microdermabrasion provides exceptional results for the following conditions:

  • Fine lines

  • Wrinkles

  • Sun-damaged skin

  • Acne and acne scars

  • Scar reduction

  • Excess oil production

  • Blackheads and whiteheads

  • Enlarged and open pores

  • Superficial age spots

  • Dull, stressed, and congested skin

How will I look after treatment?
It is normal for the skin to be pink after the treatment, lasting up to a few hours. Mild exfoliation is common in the first few days of the early treatments, but is uncommon once the skin is in better condition. Where acne pustule and cysts have been treated the area may be red and a small scab may form, lasting for several days. Do not pick any scabs!

How many treatments will I need?
For best results it is necessary to have multiple treatments over a period of time. For general rejuvenation, approximately six treatments are required. Severe cases of acne or acne scarring may require more. Treatments are usually done every 2-3 weeks and take about 30-40 minutes.

Brighter Smoother, Softer

Microdermabrasion is a safe, quick, and effective treatment that can be used at any age to revitalise and improve the complexion of the skin.

Microdermabrasion exfoliates the top layer of dead skin using 3 methods which include mechanical abrasion, gentle vacuum suction to stimulate collagen production and clear congested pores and finally lymphatic drainage. Microdermabrasion treatment allows the epidermis (top layer of the skin) to regenerate leaving you with youthful radiance to your complexion that everyone will notice.
